Each label is a tribute to different Americans who contributed to the founding of our country - the warriors and the intellectuals, the renowned and the less-heralded.

A reverence for America’s founding was instilled in owner Nick Gardner at an early age.  And it was rekindled on a 2006 trip to see New England’s fall colors with his mother and a family friend.  In anticipation of visiting Lexington and Concord, he read recent books about Paul Revere and those opening battles of the Revolution – sealed with a visit to Minuteman National Park (and a magical early morning run in fog on the Battle Trail).

The interest in wine and the central coast began during visits to Paso Robles for local triathlons two decades ago.  He came to love the small, rural town with impressive wine and food.  After a two year search, he found a unique property intended as a get-away reclamation project – both the home and vineyard.  The more one is here, the more this quiet part of California pulls you in, with pride in its heritage and America.  What then started as taking a few bins of grapes to a neighbor’s winery to make holiday gifts for friends and family – has evolved into a passion aimed at sharing great wine and American history with others.
